Meet Jean

Jean started pole dancing in 2018 and was immediately hooked! Without a background in dance or gymnastics, she recognised just how unique and demanding on the body pole dancing is for a beginner - and why physiotherapy for pole dancers is so different.

With Bachelor's degrees in Biomedicine and Physiotherapy, Jean has worked in private practice helping pole dancers, circus artists and dancers with their goals and injuries. She is particularly interested in management of hypermobility syndromes, myalgic encephalitis/chronic fatigue syndrome and shoulder injuries in the overhead athlete.

Having seen the results of unsafe practices in dance, aerials and gymnastics, Jean is super passionate about safe and sustainable training and flexibility practices to keep you doing what you love for decades to come. She is a strong believer in education and loves teaching workshops at studios to help both students and teachers understand their bodies and build effective, sustainable practices
